Biography

Dr. Shaoxuan Liu received his Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of California, Irvine and is currently Professor of Management Science and the Associate Dean of Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Executive Dean of SJTU-BOC Institute of Technology and Finance.

He also served several academic and executive positions including the founding Dean ofNingbo Supply Chain Innovation Institute China from 2016 to 2019, a member of MIT SCALE Network, the Academic Director of the SJTU-MIT Leaders for Global Operations Executive Education Program and the Deputy Director of the Liberal Arts Development Division. He was a visiting scholar at MIT Sloan School of Management, and he was teaching and doing research at the Paul Merage School of Business of the University of California. He serves as a reviewer for premier academic journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and Decision Analysis. He also serves as a reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong. Over the years, he has provided consulting and training services to a large number of enterprises such as Dell, Apple, Amazon, SAIC, Cisco, Honeywell, Esquel and Nike.
