Brief Introduction

Prof. Guan Haibing, who was awarded Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars Program, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Leading Talent of National Ten Thousand Talents Plan, etc., is currently the Director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Scalable Computing and Systems. His main academic focuses include cloud computing, big data, system software, distributed machine learning system, etc. He has successively presided over more than 10 major/key scientific research tasks, such as the National Cloud Computing Service Innovation Demonstration Project.

In terms of social services, he has served as an expert in the General Group of China Cloud for the 12th Five-Year National Key Science and Technology Project, an expert in the General Group of Cloud Computing and Big Data for the 13th Five-Year National Key R&D Plan, an expert in the Preparatory Group of the Guidelines for Science and Technology Innovation.

Scientific Research

Prof. Guan Haibing has published more than 200 papers in important academic conferences and journals in this field, and has been granted more than 140 invention patents. He won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2014, the first prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education in 2012, the first prize of Technological Invention Award of Ministry of Education in 2018, and the first prize of Shanghai Technological Invention Award in 2019.
